Most of the old cars in Sierra Vista cl ads are not driveable.

I saw this on marketplace. Note the double tube chassis and front torsion bars. Dragmaster? More pictures in the ad. Definitely interesting….

OHHH! @porkshop Please take pics, get history, find out about any paperwork, what is that rear (chevy?), what steering box (F1?). If I wasn't already armpit deep into my current one, I'd be chasing this.
Spotting round Ford spindles, Mercedes grill, nice tube support inside firewall, no brake M/C, Adjustable springs on the trailing arms (?), SBC mounts?
Doesn't match the dragmaster thread pics, but someone put some serious thought and effort in that.

@RodStRace Rear end appears to be out of a F1 pick up as it is 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. steering is also a F1 gemmer box.I have messaged him to come look at it and see if he has any paper work. And see if he knows who built it. I doubt he does or he would have listed it in the ad...

I wonder what kind of engine you would put in a 1930 Chevy hotrod to make it traditional?

I was thinking more along the lines “it’s 1941, what do I put in this thing to keep up with those flathead fords.”

In 1941, you probably thinking about racing something other then a Chevy 30 coupe. Then by the end of the year you were thinking about how you were going to be involved with WW2.
After WW2, that Caddy or Olds V8 was a option.

If you want to keep up with a flathead Ford, I'm guessing you put a flathead Ford in it. Seems fair.

Correct you are.... Look at the transmission cross member, it's definitely from a 50's Oldsmobile

Kinda boxy, but could be something with a little chop.

I “inherited” a 50 Dodge 4-door as a HS sophomore. Dull gray like this one.
Hated that car with a passion. Fortunately I got a 57 Coronet 2-dr hdtp for my senior year.
Should have rescued it before it got to the scrapper.

I'm guessing the $1111 price tags aren't actual prices, but a filler that sellers are putting in to avoid putting an actual price in, since Marketplace requires a price.

Which, in my opinion, is stupid. Just put in the price you want. Guys sucker-fishing for offers never seem too serious.
