It is an 8v71 blower,It was already taken apart when I got it.What you see is what I got with it or for it. The case is very clean with no repairs. The rotors have a nick or two where they seal to the case.Im wondering if it worth anything to someone or should I make a cool mail box out of it?
Dyer did make manifolds for the 6V-71 but I don’t think he did for the 8V’s. There was a Buick Skylark that used the 8V-71, it was the Lipori & Malise Ingenue, here’s the engine. They fabricated their own manifold for the engine. There could be some value to the rotors, they can be used in aftermarket cases to make a small bore 8-71.
Wow on a 430 no less. Growing up our neighbor gave my dad a 68 riviera that had a 430 in it. Probably the first and last one i have seen, It would run good for a month or two then the distributor cap would just break for some reason? Oh well thanks for info, I might put this thing up for sale on here. I just don't know what to ask for it.
