Fooled those of you in the know. :p

Forest Lawn of Glendale Ca. (where George Barris rest’s) hosted their first ever Cars and Coffee. Free entry, free coffee, free pastries.

Arrived a little late. :( Did see several cars leaving down the hill that would have fit in here.

There’s a pic from with in the building in the background at the end.

    Here’s what remained that I could share. IMG_3385.jpeg IMG_3386.jpeg IMG_3388.jpeg IMG_3390.jpeg IMG_3391.jpeg IMG_3392.jpeg IMG_3393.jpeg IMG_3394.jpeg IMG_3395.jpeg IMG_3396.jpeg IMG_3397.jpeg IMG_3398.jpeg IMG_3399.jpeg IMG_3400.jpeg IMG_3401.jpeg IMG_3402.jpeg IMG_3403.jpeg

As for what’s in the building. This canvas painting done in the late 1800’s for a Worlds Fair that never got displayed. The 150’ wide by 40’ tall painting got stored and forgotten until found by accident. The building was built just for this painting. I couldn’t even fit it in from side to side it’s that big. That's a first for me, a car show at a cemetery-Is that a California thing?

No it’s not. Look up the origins of Forest Lawn’s creator. Basically it’ll say the lay out and historical collections set’s it apart. It’s not a “cemetery” even though I worded it that way. It’s Memorial Park. Park being the emphasis of the surroundings.

Considering the ages of a lot of HAMBsters in the Forest Lawn area, maybe it was a not-so-subtle sales pitch. Did anyone attending find Forest Lawn flyers stuck under their wipers ;)? All kidding aside, those are some really nice pictures
