@j hansen I reckon you're right with those rods from the windshield to the radiator/grille shell being a one-off feature.

 

I recall seeing the 40ragtopdown contribution of the 32 5w with the uncommon belt line chop or section job years ago, not sure how to classify it but most unusual.

 

This car has a chrome frame. It still exists. I saw it at a display at the Oakland CA. museum probably 30 years ago. It still had the clear hood too.

 

I was told three 32 five windows were chopped this way. I've seen 2. I was also told one was destroyed in a fire. The one I saw in person was a traditional style car, that was in the late 70's at the Lodi grape festival. The second one I saw was on a TV show on HGTV about where people live. It was a yellow street rod, The owner of that car had a vintage gas station that was part of his house. I think it was in Petaluma CA.
