I have a couple questions for you all regarding my 34 Ford 3w.
I am beginning the process of establishing a path for my build. First off 34 Ford 3w coupe with a Mustang II front suspension with a sbc and 350 trans. Parallel 4 bar rear suspension with a Ford 9in are currently in it.
My father and built this car in the 80s and it NEEDS some help. Specifically the rear suspension. Looking to replace the parallel 4 bar with a triangulated 4 bar from Pete and Jakes. What width rear end housing is recommended for the widest tire under stock fenders and frame rails?
Currently the rear end is a touch too wide and pushed the wheel too far out. This resulted in my dad using the ugliest wheels know to man that look like they came off of a front wheel drive.
Looking to run an ET Wheel 15x8 with a 4bs if possible.

Above all, the MII front suspension won't fly with this crowd.

The Hamb is a traditional web site, the mustang II front suspension doesn't get any love here, I would suggest start with the front and install a dropped axle, as far as the rear axle the 9" Ford's are always popular, and can be found under the early Broncos and harder to find the '57 Fords but the 8 " Mustang, maverick & Granada are also about the size you will need, any yeah, those wheels are **** ugly! Measure your wheel wells to determine how wide of a tire will fit. Then get the tires and wheels you want. Mock them up in place. Measure the distance between the mounting surfaces. That will be the width for the new rear axle.

This thread will surely be appearing in the newish off topic forum in five, four, three......

But nothing wrong with that, so don't be discouraged.

Edit. Ta da! That means I can see the future! @Gary Winkler I hope you can find this now moved ( not my doing) thread and get the help yours looking for.
