Projects 100% scratch built hot rod

Little update on the hotrod as of late, after the final bit of tweaking the metal work and getting door jambs just right, there was about 200hrs of body and now its finaly painted

 

Went back to beginning & reviewed most of build. WOW, great, really GREAT, impressive build. Fantastic job. Congrats, u can sure be proud of that build

You know it has a bit of a look that almost makes me think chopped down 1940s international semi cab. Thinking mainly the shape of the cowl and windshield making me think that. Killer job. Not many can ground up fabricate a truck cab....let alone one that actually looks good in paint. Most people I know have trouble with patch panels lol

 

Agreed. That is amazing…I built a scratch built cab and I abandoned it 3 times because I just can’t make it look anywhere near acceptable even as a rat rod, so I’m going to drop a ‘glass body on the frame because that’s within my skill set.

 

Looks great. Now all you have to do is umm, start it up. Hehe.

 

WOW! I have no idea why it took me Four Years to find this build. Really looks nice, you have a lot of skills, thank you for posting everything.

I just had a funny thought. Imagine someone finding this in fifty years say in the woods or an old garage. Bet they'd be here and elsewhere trying to identify it with no one having a clue what it is lol

I think you are inducing alot of torsion and creating high stress in this area.

Just my initial opinion. I'm not trying to create a shitshow or detract from your building skills.

 

A lot of people have talent, but you take it to a much higher level. That is a fantastic build.

 

There's actually a bolt in brace that basically extends the framework, so no torsion at all

 

Wow, that's nice. My head would be so big it wouldn't fit inside!
