Thank you! Think that may be the first photo of a stock one I've seen. Really like those headlights. There is a black primed gasser photo somewhere around here that is prefect in my opinion.

I believe that’s Elvern Pfifer from Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Yes it is. Elvern prided himself in keeping his car immaculate and he kept all the stock trim, kept the tires inside the fenders, and even had a rear view mirror in place. Lower it back to stock height, take off the Moon discs and traction bars and it would look like a stocker. Except for the big Caddy under the hood ;)
A later iteration looked wilder probably to keep up with the competition.

    Hello,

In the 1959-60 era, Mike Marinoff had a record setting 55 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop Sedan running in the C/Gas and B/Gas classes. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/earliest-willys-racecars.1024775/page-32#post-14963681

The information posted on the Earliest Willys Race Cars thread was evident, but in doing some research for a different story on drag racing, I kept seeing this advertisement prominently placed in the So Cal section. It may have been one of those jabs at other Willys race cars from the Westcoast. Who other than Isky Cams was the sponsor.

    You be the judge…
