so while perusing facebook market place i came across an add for a T-bucket, it was very affordable and i knew it was more than likely an old T altered drag car. i messaged the seller and i told them i could head there anytime, 3 hours later it was i the back of my truck!
467174488_578291908216207_6584721595435124966_n.jpg on the way home we started researching the name on it Mark Wendt Milwaukee (there is some letting on his name missing but other side has stuff this side is missing) after getting it home i had to set it up on the frame table and oogle at it!! ive alway wanted to do a T altered. no that is not a hilborn sign, that is actually the glass T deck lid!!

after doing some research on his name i unfortunately found his obit from 2018 , but with that i did find some of his familys name. in doing more research i found his daughter on facebook, so i sent a message, she replied after a day or two and said she thinks she had a pic, a few minutes i got this!! wow, well know i knew i had to resurrect it! Untitled.jpg
i started mocking it up, i had a hemi block and some 5 spokes till i can find some Daisys!

i dug around and found some old chrome front end parts and a buddy had a cool front axle, itll be perfect for it
    IMG_9341.jpg
i also had an old front crossmember and perch from a fiat altered
    IMG_9348.jpg
i then went and picked up some 2-1/2 round tubing, the firewall had round notches so i knew it wasnt rectangle tubing, i set about and notched the front crossmember and got a perimter frame together. So thats where she is today, i will start working on the roll bar then start mounting the rear end.

if anyone recognized the old girl let me know!

Man turning into a race shop over there now! Very cool.

between you and mark we got hot rods, customs, races cars and a few boats and trikes thrown in for good taste!

Looks like fun project and you’re off to a great start. That Culbert Automotive Engineering (CAE) front axle fits the theme perfectly.

That is super cool. I'd never have the balls to make a pass in that thing, it must have been a real terror in it's day. The paint is fantastic, and shockingly well preserved.

I doubt they have good wifi in heaven (I have spotty service where I live) but if they do you are making someone very happy up there restoring his race car. Good on you.

It's gonna fit right in with the rest of the drag cars in your collection.
Do you have some 12 spokes in your stash to use on it?

Didn't he have a bad ass T bucket at some of the early Street Rod Nats?
