IMG_4326.jpeg Got rear lowered, rides and drives like a new pickup. I built a tapered shim for the front spring to put about 6 degrees of caster in. 7.00-16 rear 6.00 front...just in time for snow and 40+ mph winds tomorrow :/ Oh well, I need to fix the center hinge area on my hood, it's pretty cracked and I've just been living with it.

Rebuilding some heavy car wheels this weekend. B-5 Buffalos, 20” lock ring, 72 spokes. Rims and centers have been primed and sanded to perfection so assembly is tedious. Only 5 more to go…

  4. Decided to give myself a little bit of a history lesson with all these old engines as I wait to shoot the Tamarco HAL with Terry at the end of the month.

It's amazing what little information is out there

That right side bracket does exist, I found one on a car from South America for my Fordor. I need the area on rear pan if some one has a junk pan with that area in good shape. DSCF2120.JPG DSCF2121.JPG DSCF2121.JPG

Hello Bob' yes, I have seen those - in a past life ;) - I had a pair of them on an OHV engine I got
from a guy in Denver Colorado . It came from a sprint car that he was parting out at the time
and my DOHC Green head was from him too..... I can't remember his name but it might come
back to me at some point. No real information as to what they might have come on ?

Absolutely correct! I’ve found that Hopped up Banger knowledge is primarily preserved in print. Info that’s available on line is much more of a “Macro” view. Tips, tricks and final projects are what you will find on line.

I have a set on my Roadster. Bought them from a Canadian member on Ford Barn. They are much beefier than the US versions

I agree, I put them in the "Keeper Pile" for a future project.

What do the US version's look like? They look like the Aussie ones (which came from Canadia)

These are the ones that were on my Roadster when I got it. Notice the chunks missing? As far as I know these were standard in the US

Bangers are the flavour of the day

  25. Getting there, unfortunately with the lack of top wood the body is still a bit too flimsy. Hoping to get the engine fired off soon so I can finish these oddball brakes![IMG]

  27. Thank you! Im curious if I can just weld all the sheet metal on the top together, the wood kit costs more than I'm into the body!

It is! I worked on starting to drill the two mounting holes for the side covers.. Boy let me tell you, when you don't have a jig made it takes forever! Here's what one of the more finished versions looks like temporarily mocked up.
