1967-69 firebird rear speaker cover. I like them because they've square. Paint to match interior and they kind of dissappear. My plans for my 31 tudor. .
Just for smits and giggles, I searched 'The Bay of Fleas' for "oval picture frames" that would work for 6 x 9s. You will have to wade through a lot of fancy filigree items but there are some in wood, resin, and metal. Add some speaker cloth and you're singing in the kitchen. 2 tips: you can probably do the same search for round frames if that's your need ---- and add the word, "new" in your search ***le to get hits with more than one piece. Otherwise, you will just find a lot of singles and no matches.
Organ pipes in white angle hair is a great custom touch Here's an older thread on speaker covers https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/speaker-covers.582875/ And a photo of a chevy rear seat unit
Thanks! I got home early today and dove in on the left one. I am literally covered in gorilla glue and sawdust, something no mechanic should ever have to admit.
I m looking for pipe organ speakers cover with Wald logo on it, has anyone seen one for sale in a while?
6 x 9 speaker is going to be difficult to find an old cover for. Also it depends where its going to be. If it's in the door or rear shelf, somewhere there isn't normally a speaker on that particular car it's going to look odd anyhow. I usually default with old aftermarket covers (50s-60s) or modify stock covers of some sort. some of these might work of a 6 x 9. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/vintage-aftermarket-speaker-grill.1267278/ or Also you could find some old speaker fabric and stretch it over the new black covers.
