You walked away twice. You have to ask if you should buy it. Your not "in love" with it because there might be something better out there.

Walk away, stay away, look for that something better. Sometimes our sub consince is a better judge then our knowing self is.

We know that at least some of it is a repaint. To me it looks like there are some bubles in the bottom corner of the front driver door and the bottom center of the front p***enger door doesn't look right. These cars had several known rust areas. If it is on the verge of the rust coming out, you may not be able to ever get even most of your money back. Who wants a rusty 4 door? It you are thinking about still buying it, look under the car real good. Take it someplace and put it on a lift, $7k should buy a rust free 4 door car. If you see anyplace under the car that has some edges missing, run away from it. A refidgerator magnet works well detecting thick bondo, the magnet won't stick if the metal is more then an 1/8" away from the surface. Just flop it on the car and if it falls off or slides a ways, its time to have a closer look. Best part is as long as the magnet surface is clean, it won't hurt the finish.

Run away fast from that thing. It looks like a schmuck job to me; hiding lots of bad stuff just under that shiny red surface. Like others have said, if it isn't giving you MAJOR wood right now, move on and don't look back.

I have made my decision, I am walking away for good! This car doesn't give me "wood", Wood is the key.... I walked away from another car that gave me wood, and I can't get that one out of my mind, but it sits on the lot of "country rip-off cl***ics", so I will just have to keep looking.

You may want to call him and withdraw your offer as opposed to sitting back and letting him call you to tell you he'll accept your offer...and then tell him you were just kidding.:(

I do, but I have to tell ya, looking at Cars in Califorina and Maine, is a problem for me, because I do not own a car and I learn so much everytime I go look at a car and take pictures, then all of you educate me. I am serious on that

First question to ask yourself, Do I have a place to keep it in out of the weather? If the answer is yes, buy it. Its fall. If you still have buyers remorse in the spring, you can sell it for more money, or drive it untill something else comes around. The motor and trans may be one of the most reliable ever made. The body looks great, the condition good. A really neat and unusual ride, it handles oK, rides well, gets good mileage, and turns heads. Whats the negative????

  14. understood. where are you in indiana. i'm right across the river from evansville in. very few people get ripped off on here. it's a trusted community of sorts. if you find something some where else, chances are another hamber will check it out for you if you like. it's the power of the H.A.M.B.

Smart move. When "the one" comes along, you will know it, and you will be ready to move on it immediately.

Good move not to buy it. Some of us don't change cars like socks so it's a bigger decision. I bought a '46 Chevy about 15 yrs ago. I had looked at many cars, driven long ways to see some of them, some were really nice cars, but i didn't get excited about any of them. My wife kept asking my why i didn't want any of them. i told her when I saw the car for me I'd know it....right away... I drove an hour to look at the '46; when we pulled up in the guys yard I looked at the car before we got out. "That's the one" I told my wife, "I'm gonna buy this one" I did, and i still have it. You'll know when it's the "one"...

I'll bet you feel a lot better. That car was a.....a ***** car. Four big ***tied blonds in bikinis, at the beach, hanging out the windows waving and blowing kisses, lots of red lipstick..well, you get the picture. Now find you a manly man's car. Something with a goucho set of balls.:D

You could always put a wanted add in the cl***ifides here. Put your looking for something around X dollars and about so far from where you live. I'm sure you'll get some hits.

Very cool car, but if you are not sure then wait and look around. I like it, but it's a 4 door, maybe worth in the 5K range?

  25. Whats your feelings towards 63-65 Rivieras? There is a warehouse here in Alabama that had several in it that are for sale. Its been several weeks since I heard about them, but they were all owned by the same family and are being sold for the widow.A guy I know bought a 58 Buick Cabalero wagon out of it for 4-5k.
