I wonder if the next guy who buys it isn't going to buy it for a collection and actually drive it like it was meant to be driven... and for the record I hope the O.P. is doing better health wise.

Yeah the red A is mine. Well, if we are being technical, my dad and I share it. I appreciate the kind words but I don't want to hijack someone else's build thread haha. Here's what the car looks like currently. 20190727_182931 (1).jpg

I just found this thread so I'm a little late to the game, but I love this coupe! Very nicely done and beautiful. Hang in there Paul. Can't wait to see your next build!

Spent the last 30 mins reminiscing, reading through this thread and wanted to bump it for anyone that hadn't seen the car. Wonder where it is now?! Happily I got my transplant late last year and am feeling 10 years younger already.

Would love to do so. Maybe I will start fleshing out a project in '25. I'm thinking a chopped/channeled Model A with sedan doors. Black with Ox blood interior. Something quite different from the Gentleman's Coupe.

So happy to hear that great news, Paul. Without our health, none of this matters.

  29. ...The story you guys told about your first run to the Lonestar Round-up with the car is classic. Please correct me if I'm wrong. You guys apparently hit a torrential downpour somewhere in West Tennessee and Bobby had not put any kind of seals around the pedal shafts yet. I mean the car was fresh, this being its' first long run. The rain came in so hard at the pedals that it was hiting the underside of the roof!!!..Needless to say, the wife being the smart lady, flew back home from Austin.:D Hope you don't mind me repeating this as it just represents what you, Bobby and the rest of the Angry "A's" were all about. They're Hot Rods....Drive 'em!!!:D

Yes, had forgotten that. The road dipped and there was standing water. Drive through it and it shot up through the pedals, soaking both of us and the entire interior of the car, roof included. Had to air it out in the hotel parking lot overnight. Good times!!

I think it was somewhere en route to Lafayette from VA that Bob had a bit of a race with a sheriffs car before the sheriff exited the highway.
