Thanks! I hand picked some of the coolest pictures i could find on my archives of cars that are H.A.M.B material.
Mostly of 20s,30s and 40s cars built here are 1990s/2000s street rod style and they aren't my cup of tea, that's why i always came here/Jalopy Journal or Kustomrama just to see the stuff i really like, i can share some of the off beat stuff on off topic section.

OK, you mentioned this site and Kustomrama, so you definitely need to check out the The George Kl*** site. Beware, it could become habit forming!

Pictures of the first drag race event in Brazil, the even was held here in Curitiba/PR in February, 1958.
I only could found these two pics from a newspaper of that day and the same car. Screenshot_20241204_154155_Photos.jpg Screenshot_20241204_154159_Photos.jpg the guy behind the wheel is Alberto Manoel Glaser (a.k.a "Toty") and he won the event with his build that i can't tell if it's a hot rod, i wish i could get more photos of that day because of being the first drag race event in Brazil, also it was held in city streets and they ran 1 kilometer instead of a quarter mile races!
All of the races are legally and on city streets, by 1967 they build the racetrack here and became the hot bed for drag racing in the entire country.

Another one is Pat Ganahl blog, I'd love to meet him or at least exchange e-mails, unfortunely this is not possible but his legacy lives on and always liked his blog too.
I visited George Kl*** site, there's also the Mac's Motor City.

Always amazes me how the hot rod culture has spread all over the world.

  16. I make and sell folding windshield posts for 28-29 Ford roadsters. See them here on the HAMB in "Parts for sale" $345 shipped to Brazil

th (8).jpeg I would like to build something like this^^^^^^ but metal flake lime green with the whites and big and littles.with white tuck and roll. Back in '79 my dad and I looked at a '32 that was for sale from a divorce for 1400 bucks, 5 window, green metalflake, chrome reverse and wide whites big and littles it had an olds mill w/6 strombergs. My father p***ed on it cuz the chopped windshield had a crack in the corner. He owned an inspection station and said he would not p*** it.I hounded him for a few hours and he broke down and said let's get it and we went back and it was sold. I never forgave him for that. Rip pop! Sorry I was rambling

Hey man, don't let that discourage you. I just happen to have been an illustrator/cartoonist for Street Rodder Magazine back in the day. Most every one who contributes are just amateurs...at least check it out.. all levels of artistic skill are welcomed and posted.

Street Rodder Magazine? i have only one issue of the magazine here and it's from the year i was born (1994), Did you work there in '94? I can remember clearly of a '51 ford woodie drawing in that magazine.
I can post some of my art, there's lots of sketches of ideas for maybe future builds, lots unfinished (don't know what colors to use, style, etc) and few for T shirts for myself.

    51 Fleetline known as "Fleetrocker"
I was heavily involved in the build when i wotked at a shop about 8 or 9 years ago.
It got few details inside the scallops like skulls from famous 50s people like Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and others (that was my idea, alongside putting spotlights).
Chopped 5 inches (never ever got involved in a chop top), this car taught me a thing or two.
Here's during the build already chopped and later finished: Screenshot_20241206_020005_Photos.jpg Screenshot_20241206_015948_Photos.jpg

Thanks for the kind words Steve.
Dave was older than Mike and me and I only met him a few times back in the day. He was always very supportive towards Mike C. and myself, and always willing to offer advise. Some folks at the magazine considered Dave to be a little "difficult", but I never saw that side of him.

Nah, you are just 72 years young and still rockin' with your artworks, they are so beautiful and guys like you, Trosley, Bell, Norwell, Lee Goode, Ed Roth and others that made me start sketching and still doing that!
I found on internet archive some 70s/80s street rodder mags in pdf i will check it out more of your work there.
Also i always wanted to be an illustrator in a magazine or a hot wheels designer, i don't if it's possible nowadays.
