Planning on putting a hitch on my coupe from the rear crossmember to the spare tire mount. Do you guys think the spare tire mount spot would work to bolt to?

  2. Google says we have some threads on about this. I’m not sharpe enough to share the google with you. Maybe a shearch here will help?

  3. That location is not supported by the frame. So you would be relying on the integrity of the sheet metal of a nearly hundred year old body. It might be ok for a very low tongue weight trailer, but certainly not ok for a trailer of any size.

Just Gary, jaracer and gimpyshotrods like this.
  4. Take a look at the rear bumper mounting brackets and replicate something like that for the lateral support for your hitch.

  5. What are you planning tow exactly ?

  6. I wouldn't do that, I honestly think one good tug and your sheet metal would suffer some serious damage, the hitch needs to be attached to the frame. HRP
