Early days of the NHRA - memorabilia collectors

To be transparent, I'm really trying to find out what oddball stuff I don't have yet. But I also think it would be fun to see a lot of this stuff in one place. The NHRA museum in Pomona has a case full of great examples but it is not comprehensive. I'll post what I have an hope you will do the same! Looking for literature, flyers, hard items, shirts, etc. I am in no way any kind of authority on any of this but trying to learn as much as I can.

I would like to keep the focus of the thread limited to things with the early roadster logo, so late '60's and prior.

Membership pins, I have a 3rd year pin on the way. I believe these went up to 9 years.

Recently got this plaque. I ***ume distributed by the NHRA to charter clubs to give to their members.

You have a super collection Anderson but one correction is in order, Arnie was never a tech inspector but Bill “Farmer” Dismuke was.

Got my 3rd year pin and this pit p*** from the early ‘60’s

 

In the early 60's NHRA started a Charter Club program. This is the paper plaque (designed by **** Katayanagi, I believe) that was sent to our club in 1962. It is signed by Wally Parks and Robert Gotleib.
We were a part of the program until it ended a few years later.

Somewhere my Brother has two brand new jackets from U.S 30 in Indiana

 

I have a collection of that kind of stuff, will look and see what i have. Don

 

I took a photo of this at 3 Dog Garage last year.

 

I love anything with the old roadster NHRA logo. I have a couple things I will post later.

Here is some of my early NHRA memorabilia collection. I am always looking for anything with the early roadster logo. I particularly like the pith helmet I found at a local auction.

 

My latest find from Spring Carlisle. Rare upper mount tag badge. Pretty happy with it.
