Look at those neglected, not-race-ready wheels! My vote for the best mag wheel-equipped car. Actually, any Indy roadster of the era with mag wheels would qualify, I'm not picky...

Looking for a pair of 16-inch Indy roadster wheels like thses if anyone has a lead. :D

Here is my pick. Took about five years to bring it back to life. IMG_6004.jpeg IMG_3068.jpeg

Can anyone identify the make of this wheel which would have been mounted in 1964? It is a two piece wheel with alloy spokes and a chromed steel rim.

Thanks - you nailed it - which led me to some earlier posts regarding these wheels. A friend had these years on his 51 Chev Custom in the mid-sixties.

  8. Just picked these up today. Can't find any markings on them.
    All aluminum.
15x6, 5on4.75 bp, 3.5 bp for the cap.
    Anyone know who made these?
    Thanks, Gene. Resized_20241210_181114_1733872304161.jpeg

  22. They are vintage U.S.Mags from the late 1960's early 70's
    20241211_170836.jpg
Not to be confused with the modern U.S.Mags from the last few years

  23. Very cool... thank you!

  24. I'm not sure yet. They were close to home and reasonable so I grabbed them.

Those look to be different. May be just the offset.

  28. My photo is of a 16 x 8.5 his is a 15 x 6.
U.S. Mags was the only 16" in aluminum back then. American only had 16" in magnesium at the time.
