Look at those neglected, not-race-ready wheels! My vote for the best mag wheel-equipped car. Actually, any Indy roadster of the era with mag wheels would qualify, I'm not picky... Looking for a pair of 16-inch Indy roadster wheels like thses if anyone has a lead.
Can anyone identify the make of this wheel which would have been mounted in 1964? It is a two piece wheel with alloy spokes and a chromed steel rim.
Hollywood Barela Thanks - you nailed it - which led me to some earlier posts regarding these wheels. A friend had these years on his 51 Chev Custom in the mid-sixties.
Just picked these up today. Can't find any markings on them. All aluminum. 15x6, 5on4.75 bp, 3.5 bp for the cap. Anyone know who made these? Thanks, Gene.
just media blasted the center of these Americans, Eastwood Carb Renew Paint for the center.. perfect color.. sucks its not available right now... per Eastwood they are re-formulating it.. on my Nova Wagon... 15X6 & 15X7
Its very hard to see because of the shadows but are the back side of the spokes flat in the center like this picture
They are vintage U.S.Mags from the late 1960's early 70's Not to be confused with the modern U.S.Mags from the last few years
My photo is of a 16 x 8.5 his is a 15 x 6. U.S. Mags was the only 16" in aluminum back then. American only had 16" in magnesium at the time.
