  1. I like different!!! Go w/the International and old 1955/56 Poly. motor. I saw one at Kzoo. NSRA last Sept. 06 w/SBC, truck was done vary nice even if it did have a SBC. allsteel30ford

  2. My thoughts;

Since I'm planning a build on a '36 Chevy"low cab", I've found that the earlier cab like you show does indeed have lots of wood, the body panels attach with tacks. A pard of mine used square tubing, with v-cuts and welding to follow the body shape, turned out good.

The shape of the IH cab is really cool!

    Then there's the Ford.

Think about what style you want, as in full fendered "resto" style, cut down little bomber, or something in between. Now, do you want a chop with that? Which would look best after all that? Personally leaning toward the lines on the IH, more art deco, and would probably come through the tranformation wiyh more style.

I don't know where you got your pro's/cons from, but it's gonna be easier to get parts for the ford over the international and chevy. Can't go wrong with the Ford I'd say. What do you have in mind for a project? That could influence the decision too.

    Just my two Lincons...

    Ford pro = always a cl***ic
con = even coke cl***ic is better in a curvy bottle than a flat-sided can.

Chevy pro = more built-in style, less common
con = sounds like more basic work required

IH pro = Rarity and style together is way cool
con = resale value would require special interest, but if you're doin' this as a hobby not a biz f*&k the $ and build what grabs ya.

The IH gets my final nod, and I'm usually a Ford/Chevy guy.

If you don't have prejudice for or against any make I'd keep your ears open and wait for one to "speak" to you. The idea of using a diesel is pretty interesting. Has anyone done a turbo-diesel t-bucket? You could paint match the hearing protectors.

I vote for the Ford. Building my 3rd 32 PU. Can't seem to keep them.

I like them all but the IH has the edge because you just don't see them around.

Try finding doors for a 32-34 Ford and then try finding them for a IH C series.... then tell me the parts for the Ford are easier to find! ;)

For what its worth... I've got a line on 2 complete Ford cabs, and a few incompletes.

On the other hand, I know where to get at least 10 complete internationals right now...
