Bent Rabbit Ear Antenna(lowrider)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by foxcustom, Mar 26, 2008.

  1. Put them in the grille, makes it look like a cockroach!

  2. Along the same line, would make heavy duty curb feelers.

Or, just go for the total SuperFly look:

Just the "C" part of your LBC.
They were the "flag" that identified the "inner city" pussy packer pimp mobile.
Usually accompanied by a 3" deep padded 1/2 top with opera lights, gold landau bars and "gangsta whitewalls" on Tru-spokes on a 5 year old or so Sedan De Ville or Olds 98 Bro-Ham.

They are kinda fun looking, in a sock in the pants kind of way...
This "hobby" is just for fun isn't it?

Dang, Goober beat me to it...

  8. I've been looking for a set of rabbit ear antenna for quite some time. Some dudes want up to a grand for a set. I'm looking to install on my 1970 Monte Carlo lowrider

  9. 16 year old thead, but try posting in the classifieds under the WANTED section, someone may have one under the workbench.

Like everything else, they are not popular anymore so with that comes rarity of an item, that makes it more expensive.

With that said there is one on Ebay, the price is 310.00 and it appears to be NOS and still in the original box, the bidding will end Sunday at 9:18 PM. HRP

  11. I'm sure that you can get a pair of telescopic radio antennas (still available as a spare part) and some sheetmetal offcuts and make something that looks the part. It looks like they mount them in the window so it is not grounded to the car, so you could make it actually work too.
