nobody likes woodies here.... in fact, they are worthless and nobody likes them any where''' at least thats what the hamb member told me.... you can' t give them away.....but if any member here has one ,... I'll come get out of you garage for you....
I’ll have to look into those plates, might look good on our Morris woody. The catch phrase on the bottom is kinda lame though. I miss the little woody show that they held in San Pedro each year.
If I had an old custom station wagon as drawn several weeks ago for a Friday art: A custom 63 Chevy Nova Nomad 383 crate motor, A/C, Positraction, etc… Perhaps, a personalized plate would look nice. But, a bright yellow plate with some funky slogan? Hello, Nice find for a custom license plate. It may go over well, then again, not so much. There are very few woodies at the beach in So Cal. There are more when a woody car show pops up. But, there are probably more old woodies with surfboards, located inland than on the coast. So, although the DMV in So Cal might offer these, it would be a hard sell. If we got a yellow version, it would brighten up the rear view of the station wagon. Jnaki But, in order to match the black plate issues, here is the same plate with better wording and color. Now, that would look really good on the rear plate area. YRMV “We all like a nice rear end…”
That’s a much better line! I don’t mind the yellow plate, kinda reminds me of the yellow w/black letters plates from the ‘50s. I don’t like having to pay for it year after year after year though.
