Hey guys, my dad bought this t-bucket (or so we thought it was a T) a few years ago and is just getting around to workin on it (been buildin a few others between). I was looking at it and I realized it isnt a ford. WTF IS it? There are no body lines or anything, and it has a reasonably long cowl (front to back). Got the windshield frame so maybe its the original so someone would recognize? From what ive reasoned, it was a 4 door touring model that was shortened by cutting the rear door section out and putting the back piece onto the former door pillar. Ill get some pics up (hopefully).

    Please help

I think it's too square for a Mopar, I'd guess Studebaker, or something along those lines.

    1. These look like some sorta hinge pockets that were for the second set of doors

    2. From this line and back (where it squares off) seems to be homeade but still looks good and its painted already so I cant sand it to check for filler and welds.

When you think about the 1000+ auto manufacturers prior to 1930... god only knows what that could be, and it could literally be one of a kind....

haha the grant wheel isnt staying, it was just there when we got it so it works to roll it around

  23. Fairly sure it's a 25-26 Dodge.
The key is the windshield as well as the long cowl.

Did you get the original frame with it?
They weren't straight like the Fords, they were curved out to fit the bottom contour - as viewed from above - of the body.
If I remember right, the frame was factory boxed as well.

Some of the Oz guys may chime in here.
I understand that Dodge "T-Bucket" style roadsters were very popular in Australia.

I had some 35mm prints of a 25 Dodge roadster body and frame that a friend owned, but they're packed away.
Seems like it had the bracing inside the ****pit as you show with yours.

Sorry, C9 but its not a 26 Dodge. I bought a 26 Dodge woodie wagon yesterday and my firewall ribs are a circle with radianting ribs.

Well I think I can help with what it is not. Here's a photo of my '23 dodge roadster cowl. I think the windshield frame looks similar, but the rest of your car looks way to square to be a dodge of that period. Good luck.
