I acquired a Hurst 4 speed shifter /linkage and it was for a Borg Warner T10. I want to use it in my 32 Ford coupe which I have a Muncie 4 speed. What are the differences between the Muncie and Borg Warner to make this work. I think the linkage is different but I am not sure.

It can't be off by much. The three shift arms are in virtually the same positions on both transmissions.

The shifter rods are the main difference between Muncie and T-10.
You didn't specify which shifter you were using though. Compe***ion Plus shifters use different shifter rods than a Super Shifter 3 or other racing Hurst shifters. The shifters "sit" at different heights and mounting brackets are different. That is why some shifters use straight rods and others are specific to the ch***is/body application.

It is a Compe***ion Plus. Is the plate that mounts to the transmission the same?

Probably not, but then it's been over 50 years since I put a T-10 in a car, the application is what dictates the mount profile.

Can’t you just bolt it up and see what you need to modify?

The shifter is the same for T-10 and Muncie. The difference is in the install kit which includes the levers, rods, and a mount. The install kits are year of trans and application specific. The difference in the Muncie kits are the way the levers attach to the trans. Any Muncie kit for the correct year of your trans should be adaptable to your 32.

I will need to change the shifter stick as I have a stock bench seat in my coupe and the stick is for a 61 Corvette and would not clear. I was thinking a 55-57 Chevy stick for a bench seat. Anyone been down this road?
