Just putting feelers out there for opinions on 54 Merc headlights vs Olds? I’ve already had Merc headlights with stainless bezels installed but was thinking of changing to 56 Olds bezels. Worth it? Or move on and save the money? Thoughts….
Olds is a cool, classic custom touch. Subtle, but cool. Not everyone will notice, but that's a good thing.
The Merc headlight rings gets a custom touch easily and fairly inexpensively. The Olds conversion is a LOT more work and I'd guess more costly.
The "Frenched " Mercury headlight rims are traditional. The Oldsmobile headlight rims bring you into a different era. from the picture of the nose of your car, it is a traditional custom, rounded hood corners, De Soto grill. You have to decide what era you want. My preference is the "Frenched" headlights.
