Hot Rods I got scammed by JOHN D. WASHBURN. Looking to recovery intake.

I am usually pretty good at sizing up people but I totally failed on this one. This happened quite awhile ago but I thought I would post as a last ditch effort. I had traded a newly built CB Performance dual IDF weber intake to a guy in the Kansas City/Willard, MO. area. I sent the intake to him and he e-mailed me to let me know he got it and included a picture of it with some wheels he had just gotten off Ebay. Then he went dark. His name is JOHN D. WASHBURN.

The intake is a bit unique as it is a dual IDF configuration and has 44IDF carbs (not 40IDF), reddish phenolic spacers, stainless carb hold-down studs/nuts and a genuine NOS vintage Inglese pressure gauge. See photos.

About a year after the attempted trade, I found out the guy was in jail for, you guessed it, fraud. I also saw that a woman was trying to sell it on 'Let Go' in the same area. Here are some images associated with him and more in hopes that someone knows the whereabouts of the intake or the perp. Thanks in advance for your help.

As I posted, it was a trade deal. No cash involved.

 

Did that. Neither municipality wanted to deal with it. Low priority.

 

Wasn't desperate but it was for a set of Dart heads. Yeah, gone. Just an attempt before I leave the planet.

That guy looks just like "Joe Dirt" if you've ever seen the movie.

 

If you want the intake back, buy it from the girl. You lost it, you know that and it's ''only money''. As opposed to other routes that could be costly indeed and sink you to Joe Dirt status.

 

I'm surprised we haven't heard from @MCjim yet. His usual comment is always somewhat true......

contact the authorities again and tell them the girlfriend is trying to sell stolen parts, get her ass thrown in jail

 

I would have someone go to her to buy it and take it without paying and tell her if she makes a fuss that you will get police involved. White trash!

 

John Koeniguer answered my want ad for a 57 Ford PU spindle. He is parting out a rust free dent free South Dakota truck. He can't send a picture of the spindle but sent pictures of the truck. Only thing missing is the front bumper. Very hard to believe. I am in desperate need of the spindle. I advertised here and another site for about a month. No replies. What would you do?
