I am selling my 53 belair, this was a custom build in the early 2000s so there is some Bondo cracking, the roof is chopped (vertically and horizontal) to sit the roof low, they also have mercury quarters to make the car longer, this car sits extremely low maybe a inch or 2 off the ground, it runs and drives it's is a inline 6 (previous owner says it has been redone I have not verified, it is also still a three on the tree it's a really neat car to drive, I'm just not really into low riders so I'm asking $6000 first come first serve

 

I'm not much into low riders, but that car is very cool. In my opinion, the only thing I can see that would make it better would be for the B pillar to curve forward at the top.

 

Wow that's a nice start to something cool! Good idea using the trash bin to show the proportions in the pic.

 

This one's down the street from me, it's been sitting under a cloth cover for at least 15 years now. Glad they are moving it along, hopefully it finds the right owner.

Appears this was a 4 door, look at the length of the door and the distance from the door to the blister in the rear quarter. I'm all for conversions but it would have been better to use the correct length door.

 

Fairly sure this car was for sale here in Wisconsin a few years ago and I looked at it then. If it's indeed the same car, the steering wheel from it is in my T roadster now. Again, if it's the same one, I didn't care for the transition where the rear of the roof meets the body, but otherwise it looked pretty good, and that could be corrected. Big project, but a super cool car, and it was a lot more money when I saw it.

Grilles alone is going to cover that price. You would need to go through all the parts carefully to make sure it's all there.

 

Solid parts for 40s & 50s Plymouths (or any Mopar) are not easy to find. You want to buy those cars (and trucks) as complete as possible. Usually the missing trim pieces are missing on all of them, don't expect to find that missing piece fast, or for it to be cheap. Most I have seen need full floor pans (because the gl*** seals and door seals ****), the prices of the metal and seal parts add up fast.
The good news is, the mechanical replacement or repair parts are pretty easy to find and are generally inexpensive, if you have rebuildable cores. Their mechanical designs were years ahead of their time, so they can be solid platforms to build, if you can live without the missing trim.
