  2. I've been using one for about 2 years. I have found it to be very useful. Seeing under a dash and having both hands free is great. :)

I have had a couple of them for a while now that I use at work. The original product is the Nightbuddy I think, but Amazon is loaded with them. $20 for a 2 pack

you need to learn how to edit URLs, eh?

but you can also just search for "personal headlamp" or something, and find a wide variety of them.

Do they sell them at harbor freight yet? :)

    looks quite useful!

I have one for working on the cars and one on my welding helmet. Bought them on amazon. I love them. They are more of a flood light than a spot so you can see well with them at whatever angle. They are really bright also and charge lasts a long time.

They're fantastic. One of the indispensable things in my shop now.

While I've got one like above (single row), I've been using a Fenix, like this one below to help while doing cylinder head porting. Wish I had one like this a LONG time ago.
Yeah it's more money than the ones shown above, but the battery lasts longer before needing recharging, and the light beam is more focused, rather than spread all over, like the bands above. Plus it's adjustable, up and down, side to side.
Don't get me wrong, the "band" style is ok, just not the best for...ALL. work.

How do you have it set up on your helmet. I tried a band light; but couldn't get the light to focus on the weld area.

I got the two pack for Christmas.

I like them, even though they have to be recharged rather frequently..
Guess that’s why they came as a two pack.

I really hate head lamps. I much prefer to buy cheap golf pencil sized LED flashlights and hold them in my teeth.

After reading this thread, I saw a pack of 2 headband lights and 2 penlights at TSC. I bought it and used the headlight while working on a snowmobile where it was really dark down in by the engine. LOVE it!!

Seems like I either drool down my chin, or choke on spit when I hold a flashlight in my mouth very long.
