It is with regret that I list the news that Fred Lorenzen passed away on Dec. 18th, he was just shy of his 90th birthday. Fearless Freddy was a fan favorite in the ‘60’s being voted NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver in 1963 and ‘65. Mr. Lorenzen had dementia and was in a nursing home for a number of years and donated his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Godspeed Mr. Lorenzen. My thanks to @Toronado Jim , as a result of his post I googled Fred, an Illinois resident that made it big in NASCAR. I was not aware that he had passed.
My google-fu not being what it used to be, can someone identify the aircraft that are behind the 'vette? Thanks!
I'm going to take a chance and say that bridge is in California. That's the style of almost every state bridge built in California at least into the 60's.
