I just bought something from Amazon and it arrived today. They have multiple choices and varying prices but they are all pretty inexpensive. Now I already had one thats made differently and has cumbersome light in the center..........but this one is so light weight, and it won't get snagged when crawling under a car or under a dashboard. It would also be very easy to adapt to a welding helmet for extra light when welding. The one (actually 2 in the box)) I bought cost $16 . No I don't have stock in the company......I just think all the guys out there with old eyes like mine will really like this. Its so bright you can't look at it, and really makes it easy to see things. Headlight.jpg

  2. I've been using one for about 2 years. I have found it to be very useful. Seeing under a dash and having both hands free is great. :)

I have had a couple of them for a while now that I use at work. The original product is the Nightbuddy I think, but Amazon is loaded with them. $20 for a 2 pack

I can't get the link posted because it shows access to my personal info when I bring it up. Just type in "headband light" on Amazon and look for one that sold by Kidecce for about $16. It was down the first page a few rows. Look for the black box in the corner of their picture.

you need to learn how to edit URLs, eh?

but you can also just search for "personal headlamp" or something, and find a wide variety of them.

Do they sell them at harbor freight yet? :)

    looks quite useful!

I have one for working on the cars and one on my welding helmet. Bought them on amazon. I love them. They are more of a flood light than a spot so you can see well with them at whatever angle. They are really bright also and charge lasts a long time.

I actually tried one of them on my welding helmet yesterday and was able to get it to strap on by running it below the knobs on the side of the helmet. Probably a better way, but I just wanted to try and see if it would work ok. It did.

They're fantastic. One of the indispensable things in my shop now.

While I've got one like above (single row), I've been using a Fenix, like this one below to help while doing cylinder head porting. Wish I had one like this a LONG time ago.
Yeah it's more money than the ones shown above, but the battery lasts longer before needing recharging, and the light beam is more focused, rather than spread all over, like the bands above. Plus it's adjustable, up and down, side to side.
Don't get me wrong, the "band" style is ok, just not the best for...ALL. work.

  14. How do you have it set up on your helmet. I tried a band light; but couldn't get the light to focus on the weld area.

I guess sometimes it depends on the shape of the welding helmet being used. Maybe make some little hooks to attach to the strap and catch on the back edge of the helmet.

I got the two pack for Christmas.

I like them, even though they have to be recharged rather frequently..
Guess that’s why they came as a two pack.
