  2. Nice work there Marty. I see what you did there with the 2-piece base mount and fully adjustable stanchion post to the connecting links. A lot of time spent doing layout there. Well done pal.

I got the unit set in place and the throttle connected to the pedal. Now I need a small boot to seal at the firewall. Taking the unit to Spud Miller this week, to get it checked out. IMG_1176.jpg

After I left Mitch Kim's place, I stopped to help out my old buddy Lonnie Gilbertson on a project. He gave me some new drive belts to go along with the rest of the parts, I got from Marlo Treit. Now I can get the fuel pump drive completed. Nice to have friends ! IMG_1219.jpg IMG_1222.jpg

I hope so Dale, we are close to start assembly of an aluminum head 331 incher, with 1- 13/16 injector. I am nearly done with customer stuff, so I am looking forward to making strides on all these projects. Take car my friend.

Jim, I have known Marlo for fifty years, and watched him race since the early 60’s. He has a wild imagination!

I too have known Marlo a long time. I’ve always enjoyed his company when we find ourselves at the same spot. I understand he will be off to Australia with Project 550 this year. I wish him and Les the best of luck.
    Marty…. The roadster looks great!

Thanks JD, Weather kept them off the Aussie salt last year, they could use some luck. Will you be going to Speedweek this year ? If so, I hope to see you, I enjoy your company !

Not sure…looking at the October meet. Too hot for me in August and the waiting in line all day is gotten out of hand. One car every 10 minutes is ridiculous……

Sounds like fun! Always a blast when it's a close race running side by side, hope that's the way it is when we go at it. Happy New Year to you as well. The car has new coat of paint, the 468 is done, just got finished with back brace on the rear today, housing ends tacked in place, waiting for new rear brakes and axles to arrive for a trial fit before final welding. Then there's the rest of the to do list, ugh! Take care, John

A high winding injected small block in a fly weight model A. I'm not falling for that "not going to have a chance" stuff! I was born at night, but it wasn't last night.
