    Hello H.A.M.B.,
How do I connect the two courtesy dome lights in my '46 Ford coupe? I know the hot feed wire runs up the A pillar on the p***enger side but how do I route the second light wire to the drivers side? Is it through the roof in between the headliner or down the B pillar across the floor and up the B pillar on the drivers side?
    Thanks again folks, Mike Jackson

My 48 tudor still has the old wire hanging from the top bow. Just wraps around the bow over to the other side.

  4. You would never route wires where they will be stepped on. There is one time I had to do that and it made me cringe thinking about it, the owner of the car had the head liner done before the wiring was started and did not want to take it back out to do it right. I still think about it sometimes while staring at my bedroom ceiling at night.

Don't know how Ford did it, but I would run the wire above the windshield; there is metal there to anchor it to.

  6. My '47 has it run in the headliner. That being said I needed to fix it with a good tight headliner in it, the wire is hooked to a bow I believe and you can't use the old wire to pull through a new one. I routed down the B pillar, out the panel and under the seat (sedan coupe). The only parts you can see is where it pops out of the panel if you look closely.

Why don't cha just use a straightened out coat hanger ... remove the trim on both sides of the headliner and with the coat hanger end taped (so it's not sharp) run the wire across the roof between the roof and headliner.
A small wire should NOT show on the headliner.
