    Hello folks,
Looking for some technical ***istance from any Aussie flathead folks located in Sydney if possible please.
I've modified an aftermarket SBC distributor to fit my 8BA engine but now I'm looking to adapt a Crab style 1942-6 distributor cap and rotor to it if I can.
Looking for some kind soul in Sydney that may have a complete 21A-12127 unit available for me to take some reference measurements from.
Please PM me should you be able to help ..... thanks in advance.

    Sorry folks,
Forgot to ask whether the 1942-6 crab cap and rotor will fit straight onto the OEM 8BA distributor.
If so I have one here to measure from.
    Thanks again.

Not sure if this helps but the crab style cap doesn’t have the depth. Also the way it mounts would be an issue even if it had the depth. Finding a rotor could be tough too as the contact points in the caps are different

Sbc distributors had a flat crab style distributor. You need to look for a mallory point distrmade for marine applications. If you already modified one for a sbc , modifing a mallory sbc wouldn’t be any different. IMG_6450.jpeg
