Good morning all. I'm rebuilding a 36 3 window coupe and am in desperate need of a set of drivers side door hinges. The body shop I'm using couldn't get the door pins out and took it upon his self to torch cut the hinges along where the pin is located. they're destroyed. I've been searching and can find hinges for 32-34 coupes and from 37-40 hinges but can't seem to find any 35-36 model 68 door hinges anywhere. Any suggestions? thanks for any help.
Post in the wanted section....these are out there, somebody will come thru Is your body shop experienced in early cars and their challenges and parts availability?
That is most unfortunate. However the beauty of steel is whats blown out can be welded back in. Then, get the car outa there ASAP
F-head to the rescue…. He’s an honest guy local to me, and I recently hauled a 3 window for him that he had just bought, so he also knows what the correct hinges are
How far are you from Tony price in charlotte ? He is the 36 guru and all around great guy. @KiWinUS .i mirror others comments “get the car out”
