I had a chance to buy a Superbird at a time we were looking for a car for my wife to drive! The asking price was $1200 for the 440, auto Bird. It was well with in our price range at the time, and it was not in horrible condition. Somehow I couldn't picture my wife dropping off the kids at the day care in a Superbird, then parking it in the Hospital parking lot where she worked. If I would have bought it, she probably would have driven it, but it wouldn't have been a good fit for us in that situation, at the time. Common sense took over and I got something that was more useful for her to drive. The Superbird did end up in our town though, I took the ad over to a friend that was looking for a Superbird to add to his collection at the time. He bought it. I passed on an AAR Baracuda a few years later under similar conditions! It went to the same guy. My conclusion both times was it wasn't suppose to be. With in my grasp and ability to buy, but I purposely passed both times. Guess I'm just not a collector.
I sure wish you guys would at least link the picture you are declaring as AI. Lots of Superbird pictures here, which one are you referring to?
He's already deleted the post. I didn't bother saving it. If you see another Black Daytona with only the left half the wing in front of a mansion, that's it.
