I currently have 205/75/15 Coker’s. I do have airbags and it sits pretty low. I’m looking at buying chrome Allied Supremes 15x7 but am not sure of the backspacing and offset needed. I’ve seen people say 3.5 backspacing but what about offset. Summit racing app says -12mm offset with 3.5 bs won’t fit but they don’t know I have airbags. Any input?
My experience says that you can't get away with a very deep reverse on wheels on a shoebox especially if it is lowered in the rear if you want to be able to change the tire without a lot of hassles. If you have access to a reverse wheel the depth you are thinking about with a tire the size you want I'd try putting it on just to see if there are any hassles getting it on or off. Hassles include having to let the air out of the tire to get it between the fender and the drum. Even oversize tires on stock rim can give you a battle at tire change time. It's one thing to take the shocks loose and let the axle drop down on a hoist in the shop but a pain in the butt on the side of the road when you have to fight one out and one in.
If you have wheels on it now that fit and work just measure them. If you have room to spare add that amount to your numbers.
As mentioned, take meticulous measurements! On my '54 Customline, there's not a lot of room in the rear wheelwells.
