I've got an Edelbrock F68 (Ford FE engine) and want some type of air cleaner/s that looks HAMB friendly. Please post pictures of them and the manufacturer if possible. Attached is a picture of my setup with Stromberg WW's. I've turned the Passengers side 3 so all the linkage is inboard. Fabbing up linkage and fuel lines for the outside of each bank. Neat set up- my question is, what are you putting this amazing set up in? Car, truck, hot rod, custom?
Never heard of one of those for a Ford FE. Very cool, but you will probably be fabbing you own air cleaner.
Well it's non-Ford and a 1960. Bought it in 1977 for $2400 with new interior and all new stainless. It was stripped of all paint. 1960 Vette roadster. Putting in a 9" 4.11 with Detroit Locker, wide ratio big in big out 4 spd. I had it converted, RC Bell and 427 FE with a 428 crank. Should be 454 CI, solid Cam and ported heads. Long tube Ford CI headers. Hoping for just over 500HP. Movin/on
I used an early Ford Escort element in a home built housing on my side drafts. Maybe two of them side-by-side could work?
Might want to machine the tops of the carbs to get rid of the V flange. That way more air cleaner options could be available, that clamp on. Or of building something easier to make a flange to fit. I would like to see this setup installed in the car!! Looking back I see the end carb on the right side does not have the v flange. Mismatched carb?
Dadgum! I thought my 3x2 FE intake was cool! Haha! I agree with the velocity stacks above or some frog mouth breathers!
Since you have six carbs, I would go with six air cleaners. It would be a shame to hide the carbs with one huge air cleaner.
