32 was 28k, no motor. It sold in 2 hours.

Bobby, my hat's off to you- it takes alot of balls to go up against that wind knowing 2 of the previous 3 cars before you spun out. Congrats on the run!!! Hope to you see again at the next meet.

Great pics! Thanks for posting those. I was fortunate enough to make it to a meet at ElMirage last year, it was an awesome experience. Every hot rodder must make it out there at least once in their life.

We (Kelly & Hall Belly Tank) were the last car to run before the wind delay. Round and round at 175 mph. Neither Paul Kelly or the car were hurt. All in all it was quite a weekend for me. More on that later. Someone asked about the Thacker & Shine car. No, the didn't up the record. Wayno

Forgot to mention,,,great pictures & thanks for the effort.
I'm working on the picture deal slow but sure.
Going to El Mirage is kind of haunting for me.
My dad ran his Fuel Hemi tank there in '56,,,199 mph.
He never broke 200 on the dirt.
On 4th of July,1971 he fell on a dirtbike & lost the use of his left eye,& left arm.This happened around 11 PM,,full moon,Lake Bed lit.
I was there & only 14.
