I've always loved the '63s. This is a pic of the one I had 18 years ago.

In this particular case this New England car was immaculately restored about 5-10 years ago. But i will admit my other galaxie was a chicken wire, bondo, and street sign masterpiece!

  6. While I consider 63s to be my favorite between the two, I did have this 64 in my possession for awhile. IMG_8037.jpg IMG_20220213_162401.jpg

My friend has a 63 1/2 , 427 low riser , R code . Purchased it in 1967 , fresh home from Vietnam . $1100.00 . It is untouched , still has the factory part number tags on the carbs . He used it for daily transportation for years .

Purists would give their left nut for that car.

  14. I had a set of Keystone classics on my turquoise '63 for awhile. I thought they looked pretty good. I changed it to baby moons and trim rings years ago and it's still that way. It' a cleaner look and easier to clean. My black '63 has baby moons and trim rings as well, but it's blown all apart needing some tlc, waiting for me to be finished some winter work I'm doing (dual carbs and some cosmetic work) on my '50 so I can drive it again come spring.

My dad was just telling me yesterday about how the 390 galaxies his buddies had way back when were fast for a factory car, hard to beat…

Neat car, and the real deal. I stuck a SOHC in it, as the High Riser need a refresh.

I've had a few different '62-'64 Galaxies - great cars!

    Yep... I like 64's

  23. Thanks man. I've always loved Keystones. They were the first thing the new owner pulled off the car when I sold it, so I bought them back from him and threw them on my 62 ragtop. Unfortunately, the rag has gone on to a new home as well. 20230816_161440.jpg

  26. I bought a 63 1/2 R code new. At around 9000 miles some dirtbag broke the wing window and stole my tach. I was so mad I traded the car off for a year old Grand Prix. I still have actual dreams of that car. Idiot!!

'63 & 63.5 are the best looking full size Fords.

I helped my buddy build his '63 wagon, it's a nice driving car despite manual steering and brakes. I would take it from coast to coast without reservation...

I think the 63-64 Galaxies are the best. I have had my 64 xl convertible since the fall of ‘88. It’s gaurdsman blue with white interior. I have also had a 63 box top and a 64 country squire.

  30. There is a 63 Fordor sitting in a shed about a mile and a half from my house. It’s white, but not sure if it’s a 500. I kinda doubt it, usually farmers around here didn’t spend for stuff like that. I’ve lived here for 38 years and never saw the car until early last year when they left the shed door open. I look at it every time I drive by. Ehh, it’s probably a six with an automatic. The damn thing is distracting me from my goal of a Tri-5 Chevrolet.
