the car: 2000 grandmarquis the problem: it starts fine but when put in gear a loud howl comes from air intake box and stays when shifted back to park. never heard any thing like that before also its getting a shudder when going into o/d ithink. i figure the trans is fixin to go T/U but what the hell would cause a noise like that to come from the intake ??? DAMN I HATE tryin to figure out wierd stuff like this...
Just go to your local L&M dealer ask for a hoot tube (no joke) & get a new IAC, as for trans change the fluid in trans drain converter repl. filter.
