IF I decide to go with auto trans on my 40 Foad and use a Speedway split bones kit will have to adjust the caster? If so, how do I do this? Thanks!

I believe that caster is set in the kit when you bolt the wishbone to the bracket

Not sure what a Speedway kit looks like, but if it is similar to a CE like mine, if you need more caster, you will need to pie cut the bones at the original weld. I would install the kit, check the caster with all the weight in the vehicle at ride height, before making any changes. IMG_1247.jpg IMG_1246.jpg

When a person changes the transmission, they often make other changes. Some of these including wheel & tire size and lowering can also change caster.
Kit and car isn't the whole answer to "will it change".
That's why @Marty Strode recommends measuring the actual car, and explains how to fix it.

Before you pull the trigger at Speedway, give 40RagTopDown on here a look. Great kit that does the same thing as the Speedy kit and is a higher quality and more reasonably priced. Support a HAMB member.

  7. Good idea, Send Gary a conversation and ask him what he used, his 40 convertible sits tight and he has thousands of miles on that car. HRP
