DSC00096.JPG I was too busy to reply in December,
I hadn't driven this car for years and I had gone to get it running in April last year for my mothers memorial in June so my nieces and nephews could get a chance to drive their great grandads car. Well, I failed and dad's 100th was January 4th. So December 2024 I took it out of the trailer with a forklift and put it into the shop...It still has the 216 in it that I rebuilt in 1974. This car my grandad bought new and dad learned to drive on...I bought it from the estate in 1969....a 30 year old car then...
Long and short...with lots of work it is now running like a top and made it to Dads 100th on the 4th...he recalled his first driving lesson confusing the accelerator and brake peddle, the car lept into a ditch. After he and his dad got it out of the ditch... his dad turned to him and said " I don't think there is any good reason to tell your mother about this"
    One checked off the list....
Now to build a B engine that took two and a half years to get it back from the machine shop to have it aligned bored for insert bearings. I got the crack repair done on the deck....now to get hard seats installed and one cylinder sleeved.... it is a Al Casteen engine from his '32 Cabriolet RIP buddy

I’m not a Chrysler products fan, with the exception of hemis, first or second generation. That car just screams 392 with a 6-71 and a pair of BIG 4-barrels.

    Get this thing finished.

Green paint is photoshopped on to see if its a good idea, and car is actually still in primer red. With a good year, this year, I think it could finally be done. Car is on springs, and the rear tyres are just under 31 inches tall, so to get it this low, with full suspension was a great effort by the builder.

He and I had an agreement - I wouldnt tell him how to build the car, and he wouldnt tell me how to do accounting. 34 in Green 1.jpg be done.

Lots in the way of movement this year. My wife has found a 3,000sq ft space that will allow her upholstery business more room for growth. Not looking forward to the logistics of the move as this move will involve forklifts and pallets. With any luck back strain will be kept to a minimum.
If I keep my head in the game the 28' A will be driving. This cold weather has kept me in the shop completing lots of the small jobs I've been putting off. Its nice turning day dreams into a reality.
Getting one A out of the shop will allow the chassis for the next Av8 project to come in.

Time off has been requested for a return trip to Bonneville. What a sickness, go once and it's all I can think about months later.
Early spring I have a friend flying up from Texas to help me with a Earl Scheib paint job for the Falcon. images (2).jpeg 20241119_175249.jpg
