Like the title says, I need some PB coupe body measurements. From firewall to the rear of body under the deck lid. Also width at hinge (B) pillar at the widest point. Thanks in advance!
Hi Dave. No, trying to determine the size difference between a 32 Plymouth coupe and a 32 Chrysler coupe
The 32 PB coupe body shell was unique and it's one year only, and it was not shared with any other 32 Mopar brands. I could look up wheelbase of both, but it's not going to help you because the Plymouth was a 4, and the smallest Chrysler was 6, (so the wheelbase is stretched for the longer engine.) I'd have to look up the models of Chrysler, but they had a 6 and several sizes of 8 cylinder chassis. 31 and 32 Chrysler looks the same, the 6 was CM6 in 31 I believe. Leftover 31 style Plymouths were sold in early 1932 called 1932 PA with the older boxy styling.
Basically, the same body as the '32 Desoto SC 3W coupe. I've also been looking for dimensions. Technical - 1932 Plymouth PB / DeSoto SC 3W Coupe Body & Frame dimensions | The H.A.M.B. If I find them before you, I'll share.
I just took measurements. The door width, at its widest is 37 7/8''. That's the door, not the opening. I can't open the door all the way to get the opening width. The measurement from the firewall to the pan at the lowest point below the deck lid is 103 1/4". I hope this helps. good luck.
Thanks! I still need the overall body width measurement across the B pillars if anyone can get that. I appreciate the effort
bschwoeble, thank you for the offer. Like RMR&C, I need measurement between the pillars. Specifically, the A,B,C, and D measurements between the A Pillar and the B Pillar lower screws.
A good friend here in town has a 1932 Plymouth PB coupe. I'll drop over today and see if the coupe is in his shop or if it has been put away for the winter months. He is looking for a deck lid for that 1932 Plymouth PB coupe. If anyone has one or know of a deck lid that can be purchased, or any possible leads, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks bschwoeble! And my apologies because I meant to address my last post to @Joel W in response to him asking what measurements I needed.
