I recently purchased a 1940 Ford Coupe street rod from a friends estate sale. I am wanting to install new running boards and inner fenders. I was curious if anyone has recommendations on where to purchase these items and any problems you may have encountered with installation. Thanks Stan
what state are you in makes a big difference if you can pick it up in person or at an event rather than shipping I would stay away from Ecklers/macs. I mostly buy from Midwest early ford They are in Springfield Ohio & are pretty knowledgeable. they come to Louisville 2 times a year & I have been to there store to get stuff
I bought a pair of running boards from Sullivans Garage on sale a couple years ago. Sullivan seems to have reasonable prices for 40 Ford parts. I check in once and a while to see prices. 40 Ford running boards keep creeping up in price as time marches along. https://www.sullivansgarage.com/40-Ford-Exterior_c_39-6.html
Bob Drake products are good, but as inventory sells out, it mostly is not being restocked. Get it while you can.
had a friend call drake about some 36 running boards .they said they were sold out. He ask when they would be available again there reply was never. Seen some in the HAMB cl***ifieds recently for $3,000. I also heard that things that are Slow movers are being thrown away which is hard for me to understand
