After what felt like forever we got the Hemi onto the dyno and got it tuned. We tuned it for drivability not racing.

Down to the final details before we take everything apart and send them off for powder coat and chrome. I’ll be tackling the body work and painting the body while I’m waiting for the parts.

Mock up is done. The shop is done with fabricating and I’ve had the car delivered home so I can get started taking it all apart. Pieces will be sent to chrome and powder coat and while they’re gone I’ll be tackling the bodywork and painting the body.

Things sat through Thanksgiving and today I finally got started disassembling. Working with a broken leg, ankle/foot makes things go pretty slow. I’m going slow and making sure parts annd hardware are bagged and labled properly.

Almost ready to drop off the parts for powder coat and chrome. I’ve got a couple of weeks to do the body work and then it’ll be time to reassemble it all. IMG_2664.jpeg IMG_2680.jpeg IMG_2688.jpeg IMG_2689.jpeg IMG_2691.jpeg IMG_2694.jpeg IMG_2696.jpeg IMG_2700.jpeg IMG_2701.jpeg

Bodywork is getting started while parts are gone. Things are going way slower than I had anticipated. Doing all of this with a broken leg has slowed me way down. The good news is that it’s still moving forward. Just slowly.

I decided to use spray in bedliner for the underside and inside the trunk. It helps seal things up and protect from rock chips and road debris.

After a few weeks of working over all the flaws in the body I finally got started putting some color on things.

Projects never go as quickly as we anticipate, I think you're doing great. Great choice on sealing the bottom and trunk areas.
So nice to see your 4-legged buddy hanging out with you too.

After 4 weeks of doing bodywork with a broken leg I finally got it painted today. In the beginning I was only able to work a couple hours. As the leg has healed up I’ve been putting in more and more hours. I did what I could and it took a little longer than originally planned but it’s done now.
My next step is to round up a few friends and get the body set back on the chassis.

Took a break from paint work today to get some more of the drivetrain put back together.

I had to push it outside to see the paint job in the sun and then get busy with the cut and buff.

With the help of some friends we got the body mounted back on the chassis. It’s starting to look like a car again.
