I got the firewall back from paint and the feet back from the chrome shop today.

I'm stumped. I figured it would be chrome and the car color.

I admire people who get color theory and what compliments what.

Here's some colors for you all to ponder...

I love to study 50's car show pics, especially the few that are in color!

Not a car show and not a 32, but one of my favorites.

It's going to look great if it's lavender, maybe off white pearl, silver, etc.
Only thinking a warmer color could set the motor up to be a little more "seen"

This is completely selfish but I'm thrilled you got back after it after the flatty disheartened you. Really great stuff, Neal.

I like the B&W photos, but I'm still not sure how the firewall is finished.
I guess I'll know on Friday at Pomona.

I read on the Ford Barn that guys were using stove black polish on rubber running boards, so I gave it a try. I first cleaned the running board using a fine stainless wire brush, masked off the sheetmetal and started applying the polish

Curious to know how well the stove black holds up, certainly looks good after applying. That could be helpful for all kinds of old rubber stuff. I've never even heard of that product before, now I kinda want to try it.

    Spoiler alert.
As a metal guy…or at least a guy who does it for a living…stellar results.

    Thanks for the pic @Anderson
And we finally get to see the color of the firewall, so that answers that question.
