Hello,

In looking at the above photo, it made me think about a baseball cap on a flattop haircut. A popular item in the 50s. something seemed off on that RPU. A long while later, I drew a full-fender 1936 Ford pickup roadster. I had a hard time with the top to make it look stylish, so, I left off the top.

It fit the parameters of a nice open top 1936 Ford to be utilized for any open bed pickup truck business.

But, upon further size measurements and overall look, it needed an extension for anyone
6 feet or over in the cab. Especially, if two bodies are inside… YRMV

Then I spent a week drawing various versions of a 36 Ford RPU and came up with this top and side styling of the finished product. YRMV
