Hot Rods Narrow Whitewalls

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by jax59, Jan 18, 2025.

  1. Good morning everyone, it’s time for tires and I’m havin a bit of trouble finding a narrow white I can settle on. Was wondering if any one had any advice on the new Coker Star Series, they have a few options. Saw a TBird at show that had Ironman 1 inch whites that looked ok, any how any input would be much appreciated. Thank in advance

What I found on the star series looked like all radials. Might have a look at Diamond Back tires.

Not cheap, but look at DB Tires. They can make any size whitewall you want. I’ve purchased 3 sets in my lifetime. Very satisfied !

Anybody try Hankook 'Kinergy ST'? They manufacture a 15" radial narrow whitewall. Better price than anything Coker sells.

  5. For what, jax? Radials ok? I use nothing else. I have Nexen on my DD. Ironman are good as far as I have been able to determine.

If you're on a budget, Cooper Trendsetters are good. I put them on my 53 Plymouth a few years ago. No issues, inexpensive and I have quite a few miles on them as I use it for a daily

Other Cooper tires I have had were USA made. Do you know if the Trendsetters are?

I believe they are made in Mexico. One reason I originally looked at them is because I put Coopers on my wife's Camry and they are USA made. They're the more expensive model of tire though.

  11. Thanks Guys, the Coopers are no longer made. Found these, any one got input on the brand. 1 inch WW looks good IMG_6404.png

Hankook Optimo's. Are they 100% period correct - No. But the price is right, they ride, drive, and handle good. 70,000 mile tire and quite. In addition, the white wall has held up much better and not discolored near as much as the set of Coker's I have on another car.
