Thats 3 rights in a day, your on a roll...................... I like to think I have a more refined taste in humor, something along the lines of Buster Keaton or Harold Loyd comedy's. Although I would have to say my all time favorite is Young Frankenstein.

I've never posted over here. I bought this 83 Cutlass with less than 2K on the build in 23. Bought it in eastern Tenn. mildly built 79 Olds 350, Muncie 4 spd. w/Hurst, Buckets, Gauge panel replaced with Auto-Meter gauges in a new panel. I added the Torque Thrusts and pin striping. So I have this and the 41 P1060844.JPG P1060401.JPG P1060478.JPG P1060476.JPG P1060471.JPG 1

I currently have 3 that are on my next big thing list. The biggest project is the 51 Chevy (current build) followed by my 76 Bronco (capable of being street driven currently) and my 90 Celica Altrac (full rebuild to its former rally capability)

After the GM G-Bodies, I think the Datsun/Nissan Z-series would be huge.

    Mid 80's T-Birds.... Turbo 4 had possibilities
SBF engines were standard....soooo 351 strokers (400+cu.in engines) would be the next logical step.
All the safety stuff and T-5 trans were standard.
Strong 8.8 rear ends with a multitude of ratios and trac loc !
    Short wheel base...fairly light-weight
    What's not to love

Horizons and Omnis are such tin can rattletraps that I can't imagine collecting any of them that don't have GLH stickers.

My father and I had 13 of the things at one point. No two of them had the same engine/trans/fuel, engine control system.

  9. I live in the rust belt so about anything that is in any way cool, neat or groovy in good enough shape to fix is already expensive. I do have a 94 short bed/cab silverado stashed in the barn. They’re still plentiful and affordable around here. Any G-body or special edition performance car GLH, T-type etc will be hotter in the future. I wouldn’t buy for speculation tho only enjoyment

Kind of the current bid thing but Vega's, Vega wagons, Monza's, and even AMC ramblers are making a comeback on the drag strips.

@phat rat - Your Cutlass grabbed my eye. I really like it. Dad had it's sibling, it was the opposite of yours in the cool category. Looked the same almost on the outside, same color with hub caps. Pillow top seats, everything had a little soot in the fabric because it was ''powered'' by the stinking, smoking diesel engine. It would get you where you were going, slowly. Other drivers would flip you off, because it could barely keep up with traffic and belched clouds of diesel fumes constantly.

57dude, thanks for the comments. Back in the 80's I had a tan 81 Cutlass Calais, buckets, leather, 260", I referred to it as the gutless Cutlass. I had a ball with that car and have had a soft spot for them since. I was looking at 50's an 60's cars when I came across this. I found it on a Sat. and was loading it on my trailer early Monday morning
