Right in the middle. In old Yukon. Are you right off HWY92? There is a old boy thay has a 29 two door sedan chopped. Just curious. Later. Toby.

The swapmeet was pretty good. Some guy went and bought alot of the A stuff there was a trailer out in the parking lot with all the doors and a bunch of cowls. So all the body parts were kinda scarce. Pretty good tho.

I went yesterday with my Dad. Seemed OK to me, not spectacular, but still worth going to. I don't like having to pay for parking either, but it's not going to keep me from coming up there. Besides, it was $4....we spent a lot more than that in gas to get there.

I found a nice pair of reversed 15x6 early Ford wheels on Buick rims, a Bates motorcycle seat, and an elusive 331 Chrysler oil pan that I've been searching for for 6 months.

There was also a pretty decent chopped '34 Ford Pickup cab, grille, and a mismatched bed, frame and axles for $1900 obo. The cab looked like it had been a hot rod for a while with evidence of being channeled at one time. Seemed like a reasonable buy to me.

Now I'm not sure if it's greed that kills swap meets, or negative at***udes.

Yeah, what is it with the ****ing pissy at***udes of some of these people at these?

I had some obnoxious, one toothed hillbilly muther f'r tell me that I either didnt have any business having a model t coupe, or really didnt own one, because i didnt know for sure if it was a 26 or 27. This ***** went into preaching a big sermon how he knew everything about t's and blah blah blah, and i just walked.

I did meet some people that were pretty cool and would shoot the **** regardless if you were buying from them, but it seems like i come across the bad ones. Guess thats why i keep doing business with the same poeple or ebay:rolleyes:

I was glad to see the good turnout but the lack of planning with the grounds (the mud) was what got to me. I got stuck in my truck and I wasn't even pulling my trailer.

does the "new" format only apply to the fall meet only or is it for the pre-war meet also?

No the pre-war is put on by someone else. It's becoming one of my favorites.

I guess if i would have found something i needed it would have been worth the time, mud, and money to go. I hope the one here at remington park will take the place of Chickasha. Spots were reasonable, free parking, and close to the food for us fat old ****s.

Dragrcr50. You still building drag cars? My Dad did the interior in the car you built for Miller. Do you still have the Stude? That is a neat car. I guess I missed the 63 Chevy II Ive always got my eye out for one. Toby.

Thats me Baby Goober. I wasnt sure if you could place me. Weve met a few times. Yeah Id love to come by the shop and check out what you have going. Did you sell that Vickie body you had on eBay? Some guy named "Jesse James" was looking for one.

I might need to pick your brain on frame questions. My Dad and I are about to build the frame for the Murray project. I have my fingers crossed. Talk to you soon. Toby.

Oh yeah the Remington is kinda dull in my opinion. Its nice because its close. But its a new deal so I'll give it some time. I will look for the website that has all the dates for it and post it. Duncan, OK is having a swap early next year.
