So, I have a saved search on ebay for Boston 8 track tapes. (I already have about 40 of them, but can't stop buying them...) and this poster showed up in my search. The picture was taken maybe 5 years ago by John Jackson from the back seat. I didn't even know that he took it until later. really cool shot that most people think was taken back in the day https://www.ebay.com/itm/1163577147...lp:2332490&itmmeta=01JJ4K4VT1BEFK3HBTEC5J2WWF
I think people think that picture was taken back in the 70's when actually it was taken in my Chevelle maybe 5 years ago
haha, no, not yet. I sent the guy a msg telling him it was my car hoping he would reply with a discounted deal... no response yet. I will probably buy one though. I don't have much empty wall space though....
Actually, photog John Jackson should be the one to collect money as he holds the copyright to the photo he took. If this poster seller is using the image without John's knowledge or permission he's liable for damages.... that's if John wants to pursue it. Then he could split the proceeds with @Moriarity ...! It's a cool image though. And, I like Boston too....
I still have my Super Tuner in a cabinet in the office, but it is a bit newer as it is the cassette version. I loved that thing as a teen. I had a 40 watt amp velcroed to the underside of it & had it mounted on a CB slide mount so I could move it between my 66 Impala, 70 Chevelle & 73 Nova. I did send John Jackson a message with a link to that auction it it and he said that it is very difficult to get eBay to do anything in a case like this and that he basically didn't care. He did tell me one though that this image is by far the most copied and shared of anything he has ever done. It was his artistic eye that knew it was a good image. I though get to see it in person every time I drive the car!!
I don't know, I just have to buy it... The movie "Conspiracy Theory" features a New York cab driver named Jerry Fletcher (played by Gibson) who has a compulsion to purchase a copy of "The Catcher in the Rye" when he gets a panic attack.
