  4. Nice, Sure looks solid, . Bet a cut and polish would do wonders for the exterior.

    Winter update

I found a ZR2 rear end north of me 4 hours away so went that way and picked thats up also has a G80 locker in it.

Few weeks before this i was speaking with a stovebolt guy gord who was 82 about a 261 he had rebuild 15 years ago and i was interested but he wanted a bit more then i could afford i told him i would think about it. Month and bit later i got a email from Gary informing me Gord had passed away :(. They did not know what to do with alot of the stuff but told me if i wanted the motor it was mine for 1/3 of the price he was asking so i made the drive west about 6 hours from me and picked it up, while i was there he happened to have some trans there and i noticed there was a T5 looked at it and the Tag told me 1986 and looks like Gord changed the input to a 10 spline so i picked that up.

Plans are to bring the 37 into the shop toss the body on a rotisserie and seal the floors up with DOM16 same stuff as the Por15. I will also have to repair the rear trunk pan cause it has rust and i will be adding a Roll bar with side bar to help me drive it more confidently here in Canada. We have been having alot of accidents and im a bit stressed about all the new and distracted drivers here lol.

A ZR2 rear is 63” and a ‘37 rear is 57”. Are you going to widen the rear fenders? You’ve got 6” difference

hey the 37 is a 59.5" WM to WM . Im going to be doing the 2" wider fiberglass fenders, my fenders inner are pretty rough and new safety laws here its gonna be hard to safety this thing clean lol.

also i will prob be doing a set of detroit steel 18" wheels and i will have to play with back spacing. the 16" stockers are near impossible to find tires for and driving around here with 4" skinnies and drum brakes is a dead wish lol
