I have a question, or series of questions that are very difficult to put into writing. For these question the best picture I can come up with is the current Posies catalog, page 8, these are the shock mounts that I have. The bottom mount is not a problem but both the upper mount and the shock itself are problems. When I ordered the mounts 2 years ago I specifically stated that I have front fenders. It turns out however that the fender brace, the mount, and the top shock eyelet all want to be in the same space. I can somewhat picture a different upper mount but to clear the fender brace the shock tube must be more vertical (top of shock closer to tire) which causes it to hit the upper steering arm. The picture on page 8 does not show a steering arm so I have no point of reference (they are cheating) I am using a 4” drop axle with a dropped upper arm (the ball joint end of the arm is lower then where it attaches to the spindle). I am probably totally mucking up my description but it’s the best I can come up with. I could not possibly take any pictures that are better then what is shown on page 8.

I had the bolt to frame on top shock mount , I cut the pad off , Trimmed as needed the angle , Tig welded to frame
Each leg , & used a Flang nut between shock & fender brace , same length bolt
1-2 threads pass Nut,, If you think needed add blue LocTite

Pete & Jake's has nice Shock Mounts for fendered model A's.
Both, bolt on or weld on.
